Hello! My name is Leonardo Becerra. I'm an undergraduate at James Madison
University pursuing a dual degree in Computer Science and Finance. I started programming around 2019 at
a Java summer camp where we built simple game. I always loved making things, and that camp was what
pushed me toward computer science for good. Since then I've worked across a broad range of technologies.
I'm most proficient in Python and Java, with working experience in C, JavaScript, Bash, and some others.
I currently am the Treasurer of my university's Unix Users Group and as a Teaching Assistant for the
Department of Computer Science. Outside of coding, I play guitar, produce music, fish, lift, volunteer,
and build things! After graduation, I'm aiming for a developer role in fintech, like a Quant Developer,
Financial Software Engineer, Full-Stack Dev, or Financial Data Scientist.
